Job Description

Data Scientist will be an advocate of harnessing and utilizing data effectively in supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a breadth of technical experience paired with an understanding of business operations.

They will serve as the supply chain data expert to clients and work with some of the best business intelligence tools in the market to create advanced solutions for Fortune 500 clients. Specifically, this will include design, development and end user training.

Agillitics is quickly growing and the ideal consultant is not only proactive with their client engagements but also willing to step outside the role of a consultant, as needed, and wear the multiple hats.

Duties

  • Support design sessions to gather operational reporting business requirements
  • Write efficient SQL queries to power visualizations and critical reports
  • Create data models with optimized table relationships
  • Develop operational alert reporting, trend analysis reporting and analytical dashboard reporting to support the requirements from the business.
  • Develop and modify OLAP cubes
  • Develop and modify ETL processes
  • Support the change control and source control for BI content
  • Support end-user training

Skills / Qualifications

• Must have excellent analytical and communication skills – both written and verbal • Ability to prioritize effectively and deliver results when working with multiple initiatives and client engagements • Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) reporting development preferred • Implementation of Manhattan Associates’ SCI or JDA’s Analytics solutions a plus • Experience with Cognos, MicroStrategy, Microsoft SSRS, QlikView/Sense, Tableau, Power BI or other similar BI tools • Experience with supply chain design and optimization tools such as LLamasoft a plus • Knowledgeable in the areas of Warehouse Management, Labor Management, Demand Forecasting and Replenishment areas as they relate to supply chain management • Understanding of industry standard KPIs and metrics related to the supply chain • Database knowledge and hands on experience required • PL/SQL experience required • AIX or Linux experience a plus

Education
• The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor’s degree program and related work experience in field of study • Bachelor’s Degree is required; BS in Engineering, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management preferred. • Certification in one or more BI tools is a plus • Supply Chain certifications (e.g. CSCP, CSM, or Six Sigma) are a plus
